Another punk rock summer came and went...

It's truly been a great summer, one that I will remember for the rest of my life. It had its ups and, and it had its downs.
I got the opportunity to travel the eastern coast with my band, hang out with some great friends in New York City, see some of my all time favorite bands, meet some cool new people, work a lifeless job (but I had a job nonetheless, which is whats important in these times of economic crisis), spend a few days in Rhode Island, get closer to family, and grow as an artist and a person. One of the most important things I've learned this summer is to be proud of who I am, to take advantage of everyday and every opportunity, and to not let people take me for granted.

salvation army gold!

I went to Sal's the other day and I struck gold. Found some sick shirts and books, but best of all, I found an autographed photo of David Copperfield, and a fabric painting of a white horse. My mom asked me why I dropped five bucks on a picture of David Copperfield, and I asked her "how could you not?"

For the past two months I've been slaving away in the produce department at Big Y supermarket. Luckily today was my last day and I can enjoy the rest of my summer, but they're having a poster contest for food safety, and I figure since I'm going to school to be a professional artist I have a pretty good chance of winning. The winner gets a $100 Big Y gift card! SICK BRO! The poster has to be about how sick employees cannot work with food, so heres what I've got so far: (I'm going to add some color next)

Speaking of contests I entered the free fridayz art contest of fecalface.com Fecal Face is by far the coolest art blog on the internet, and if you haven't checked it out do it!

Mine is #28

Lately I've been listening to Social D nonstop. Found this sick video on youtube.

Can't wait till October 17th when I'm seeing them in Atlantic city.

Monotonix

My brother was telling me he found a youtube video of Monotonix playing at the stood at SUNY Purchase. I always dig seeing those guys play, and they but on the best show out of any band I have EVER seen.

If you look in the back behind the drummer you can see me wearing the red flannel and the beanie.

I'm pretty stoked. Theres an article about my band Wyldlife, on the NY music website greenshoelace.com Check it out!

We've kind of been on a hiatus (because we all live so far apart), but in the next week or so we'll be playing again. We've already got some shows lined up in September, and I'll post more info about those as the time draws nearer.

Everytime we say goodbye, I die a little

This morning at approximately 2:00 am my brother decided to break out his combat boots, so naturally I broke out my camera and snapped some photos.

Earlier tonight I was watching the documentary "Lets Get Lost" which is about the great jazz trumpeter Chet Baker. The movie was filmed entirely in black and white and it works so well along side the cool west-coast jazz. I highly, highly recommend you see it if your a fan of Chet, or just a fan of jazz in general.
